Technora

Technora® offers exceptional tensile strength at 28 grams/denier, making it eight times stronger than steel and three times stronger than fiberglass. It withstands high temperatures, with a melting point of 930°F (498°C) and retains strength up to 500°F (260°C).

Durability and Resistance

Technora® is resistant to abrasion, flexing, stretching, heat, acids, alkalis, organic solvents, steam, and sea water. Its urethane coating provides additional UV protection and abrasion resistance.

Note: For Rope Dart leashes, Dragon Rope is recommended for its smoother texture and higher abrasion resistance.

Technora® in Poi Spinning

Technora® is the most popular leash material for poi spinners due to its high temperature resistance, tensile strength, and durability. It decomposes at around 932°F (500°C) and offers high tensile strength with different diameters (2,500 lbs at 1/8" diameter; 5,000 lbs at 3/16" diameter; and 7,300 lbs at 1/4" diameter). Its high abrasion and fatigue resistance make it a very durable poi leash material.

Note: For Rope Dart leashes, Dragon Rope is recommended as it offers a smoother texture and higher abrasion resistance than Technora®.

For the best results, we recommend using splicing fids to connect Technora® rope to your hardware rather than tying knots. This ensures a secure and reliable connection.
